The heaviness of body armor and carried ammunition affects the health of the shooter. Running, jumping, falling, and even walking for a long time can hurt the joints afterwards if the vest sits on you freely. To solve this problem, Ars Arma has developed a special corset redistributing the weight and fixing the vest better. However, the corset is made of rigid material, so wearing it over the uniform can cause discomfort.   

That is why Ars Arma recommends using another component of the AVS system - special amortizing shoulder pads. They increase comfort of wearing and reduce the pressure of a heavy body proof armor which is important if you decide to turn AVS into an assault armor or light armor for active movements.   

These pads are fitted with a 3D mesh for better ventilation and water wicking. The shape of the pads allows you to place them in a part of the corset depending on your choice, and their low profile ensures a comfortable fit of the body armor. It is recommended to be placed closer to the back.
