Desperate times required desperate measures. After the emergence of a new terrorist threat, special forces of the USSR needed new weapons and equipment. First of all, this influenced armor protection, it was necessary to develop body armor and helmets that would provide the highest possible level of protection during the combat in buildings or transport.

In the beginning of the 2000s MVD started to be provided with "Rys-T" helmets — a modified version of good old "Altyn" which had been FSB elite forces prerogative. This replica from Gear Craft completely copies the original helmet and DOES NOT have protective qualities. This helmet is presented in two colours, has a visor and a connector for a Kenwood radio station.
