Developed in October 1943 and adopted on November 6 of the same year, the ISU-152 Was widely used at the final stage of the WW2 in almost all aspects of the use of self-propelled artillery. In the post-war period, the ISU-152 was modernized and was long in service with the Soviet army. The self-propelled guns transferred to Egypt took part in the Arab-Israeli armed conflicts in the middle East. The slang name of ISU-152 is "Hypericum". In the Wehrmacht, it was called "Dosenöffner" (from it. — «opener»).
