Description
For a long time in the Soviet, and then in the Russian Army, there were practically no unloading systems and their systematization, but with the advent of UMTBS (the Russian Equivalent of M. O. L. L. E.), the army began to receive combined-arms modular vests 6SH112 and 6SH117 "Ratnik", they were special pouches for various purposes.
This is a standard issued pouch for a Small Infantry Shovel MPL-50. Usually, this pouch with a shovel is installed on the Army Patrol Backpack or on the belt part of the vest.
The shovel is fixed inside the pouch with two flaps on the turnstile buttons, the pouch can be attached in two directions, with the handle up and the handle down.
